Medical Legalization

Medical Marijuana was legalized in the state of Ohio on June 8th, 2016. This was the 25th state to allow the legalization of Medical Marijuana. This legalization also offers a nice payday for the state of

Ohio, as the state tax goes directly to the state general fund. There is currently a 5.75% sales tax on the purchase of medical cannabis, allowing for the tax to go back to the state.

State Requirements

The state requirements in Ohio for Cannabis are only for the legalization of Medical Marijuana, meaning cannabis cannot be purchased for recreational use. These parameters regulate the security measures for the manufacturing, distribution, and dispensing of such controlled substances.
